Class Details

Based on audition workshops that take place twice yearly, COAST meet and train for 2.5 hours weekly and spend time during school holidays with nationally renowned choreographers & companies such as Kay Crook, Ceyda Tanc and Northern Rascals. COAST Youth Dance Company is Pavilion Dance's resident company for dancers aged 14 – 19 years (up to 25 years for young people with disabilities) from across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and surrounding areas. Coast have recently made new original live dance work, film work, collaborated with live musicians & artists & hope to tour to local schools delivering performances and peer-led workshops. They also receive careers advice, dance pathway opportunities & training in enterprise and fundraising skills. There is also a COAST representative role available for aspiring leaders. There is a participation fee of £470 per year. Bursaries are available. COAST is a safe space open to all genders and welcome dancers from different backgrounds and different dance styles.
